Toddler penguins prove to be a draw at Bournemouth Oceanarium

Julian Clegg

Available for over a year

A new colony of penguin 'toddlers ' has arrived at the Oceanarium, at The Bournemouth Aquarium. The six juvenile Humboldt penguins have taken residency alongside the Oceanarium's current waddle inside the Penguin Beach Encounter, which has been specifically designed to replicate the birds' natural habitat. Built purposely with a future breeding programme in mind, it is hoped that these new toddlers will pair up and eventually produce youngsters of their own. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Solent's Neil Sackley has been to the Oceanarium to see them and their keeper, Dani Farah.
