India to ratify Paris climate deal

World Business Report

Available for over a year

India's government is the latest to approve the ratification of last year's Paris Agreement on climate change. The deal appears to be getting high priority treatment from politicians all over the world, despite the many other issues vying for their attention. The battle against climate change has even been an issue in the US Presidential election. Jonathon Porritt is a veteran campaigner on green issues. Alex Ritson asked him what the apparent success in the ratification process actually meant. (Picture: Power plant smoke stacks in India. Picture credit: AFP.)
