Young vets are steering clear from a career in the countryside, according to the British Veterinary Association. The BVA is warning of a shortage of rural vets as graduates are put off working in isolated villages, the longer hours and being on call more regularly. Nicky Mansell is an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon from Leicestershire. She qualified 4 years ago and chose to work with large animals. Jim Davis went to meet her on her parent's farm in Woodhouse Eaves.
