How many Tories oppose grammars?

Westminster Hour

Available for over a year

Nicky Morgan says Tory opposition to grammar schools may present challenges for the government. The former education secretary and Conservative MP told the Westminster Hour that "there are quite a number of colleagues (on the Conservative benches) who for a variety of different reasons are uncomfortable about this as a direction of travel for policy". She added: "there are certainly enough that I think the government would have to think very carefully about whether they would get the proposals as currently constituted through.”
