Second of a two-part programme to mark her 25 years since her on-screen debut, Karisma plays songs that made her a popular actress. Hailing from Indian cinema's first family, the Kapoors, Karisma was the first female to break from family tradition and enter the industry in 1991 with the movie Prem Qaidi. The daughter of actor and director Randhir Kapoor and actress Babita, Karisma was an instant hit with audiences who fell for her innocent on-screen persona. Karisma's career really took off when she teamed up with dancing machine Govinda and director David Dhawan, spawning comedy hits like Raja Babu, Coolie No1 and Hero No1. Karisma talks about breaking out of mainstream cinema to follow passion projects such as Fiza and Zubeeida, how she was terrified of working in Dil To Pagal Hai and how one current-day A-lister repeatedly ruined one of her shots.
