The Woodland Trust launch campaign to protect Aldermaston Park

Andrew Peach

Available for over a year

The owners plan to build over two-hundred new homes there. Jill Butler, Woodland Trust Tree Specialist: "Aldermaston Court and Park is a very very old place, we know it has been recorded as a deer park over 800 years ago - full of the most ancient and other trees. "It's a fabulous little gem in the heart of West Berkshire. "This development is against our planning policy framework, it's an inappropriate place for this development to take place. "There's more than 180 trees, which would be proposed to be removed."
