'It's weird having it out there for everyone to see.' Sex Pistol guitarist Steve Jones talks about his difficult and impoverished childhood as detailed in his new book 'Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol'. Born in West London in 1955, he founded the Sex Pistols in 1972 with Paul Cool and Wally Nightingale, and was their guitarist until the band broke up in 1978. He is a musician, record producer and actor. He lives in Los Angeles, where he hosts the radio show Jonesy's Jukebox. His book takes in everything from his modern Dickensian childhood in Hammersmith to the Kings Road of the early Seventies, through the years of the Sex Pistols, punk rock, the recording of 'Anarchy in the UK' and 'Never Mind the Bollocks' to his self-imposed exile in New York and Los Angeles where he battled with alcohol, heroin and sex addiction, caught in a cycle of rehab and relapse. Heady stuff!
