Episode details

Available for over a year
The outgoing chair of the Ulster Orchestra, Sir George Bain, tells Jayne McCormack that the organisation's future is more secure than it has been for a very long time. The orchestra was on the brink of closure two years ago because of funding cuts, but received a last-minute deal from Stormont and Belfast City Council. Sir George also talks about his hopes for the orchestra, as he prepares to step down as chair this week.
