Team GB rower Graeme Thomas talks about being pulled out of Rio. Within a day of arriving in Rio for competition, Team GB rower Graeme Thomas fell ill with a mystery illness. Despite feeling better two days later, rowing chiefs pulled him out of competition just days before the opening ceremony. He told Tim Dellor his story. Graeme Thomas, GB Rower: "Fly out Friday night, woke up Saturday morning with an elevated heart rate and sore throat. "Did get a little bit worse, on the Sunday pretty much slept all day, Monday I felt a lot better, but unfortunately that was when the decision was made to pull me out. "The hardest this is it's such a grey area to say whether someone is ill or not. "I think I'm a little bit in shock."
