Sir Michael Parkinson looks back on his life in the interview chair

Anne Diamond

Available for over a year

The famous talk show host shared his memories of a long career in showbiz. Sir Michael Parkinson: "My favourite shows are often done with people who are not celebrities. "It's about the people who are not glitzy and all that, people who have got a story to tell and who have lived a life. That's why I love talking to old people. "The other thing I enjoyed very much about the show was that occasionally you'd unearth a talent, Billy Connolly for example was a talent. "When something works perfectly you sit there and think I couldn't have done that interview any better."
