Daily life in Syria remains largely a mystery to the West, as the foreign media face many hurdles inside the country. American artist Crabapple uses an unconventional approach - making pen and watercolour drawings based on mobile phone photographs taken by a Syrian journalist who works under the pseudonym Marwan Hisham. The two of them joined Razia Iqbal to talk about their work.
