Time has run out for Indians to get rid of discontinued bank notes. After today, they will no longer be able to deposit the old cash at banks; all they will be left with are worthless pieces of paper. Last month, the government scrapped more than 85% of the cash in circulation - the aim was to crack down on corruption and tax dodgers.
