Kinks guitarist Ray Davies receives a knighthood

Bill Buckley

Available for over a year

Henley record producer Pete Smith managed the band for many years. "If you look across what Ray represents, and I think a lot of these things are for the representational value of it, if you look at not just his songwriting for the Kinks...Ray has done a lot, he doesn't see himself as a pop star. "He does a lot of workshops, and encouragement of younger people. "For the record company we did a two CD compilation of greatest hits, and we forgot a couple."
