A trial of the the UK's first driverless car has been hailed a success

The Gateway project took place at Crowthorne's Transport Research Laboratory. Simon Tong, Transport Research Laboratory: "We were able to achieve full driverless control over a conventional vehicle. This level of automation was sufficient enough that our disabled driver could hand over this vehicle to a remote operator. "There are a couple of ways it can connect, you can use a local wifi network or a cellular connection. "Driverless technology can solve a problem for people with reduced mobility."
