Fly-tipping increased by twenty-percent in Reading in late 2016. Alan Ashford, Meadway Travel: "It has been horrendous over the last six months, there has been a marked increased in the amounts of rubbish and the difference of the rubbish, from sofas to toilets. "You don't know what you're going to turn up to when you pull into the car park in the morning. "In some parts of the precinct you can just pull up and just throw something out. You need to make an example of someone and then they may stop."
