A new report by the Women and Equalities Committee is calling on political parties to set a target of 45% representation of women in parliament and local government by 2030. They are also calling for at least 45% of general election candidates to be female or face financial penalties. To discuss whether the target goes far enough Jane is joined by Sarah Childs, Professor of Politics and Gender at Bristol University and the Conservative MP Flick Drummond who is a member of the Committee.
