There’s a reason the price of fish is on the rise that is bad news for the squeamish: it is down to an infestation of sea lice. The parasites are 1.5cm long and are spread by being blown across the surface of the water before feeding on the blood of fish. They have caused wholesale prices to rise by as much as 50% in the last year.
