In addition to using many outside orchestras, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ had their own Regional Staff orchestras specialising in light music, based in London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Bristol and Belfast. Of these orchestras, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s 'Pride and Joy' was the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Midland Light Orchestra, which could be heard 'on the air' several times a week and whose versatility knew no bounds.
