Zeke Jones: My message to President Trump

Sport Today

Available for over a year

After US President's ban on citizens from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen entering the US, we ask how this affects American sportsmen and women travelling to any of those countries? The United States Freestyle Wrestling team is scheduled to participate in the Freestyle World Cup in Iran next week. Almost 20 years ago, it was American wrestlers who became the first US team from any sport to compete in Iran. Zeke Jones was on that team. He's since coached the US Olympic and World Cup teams, who are now coached by Bill Zadick. Speaking to Sarah Mulkerrins, Jones explains why it's important for the sport to maintain the relationship between the two countries, stating that "all American wrestlers" want to go to Iran to compete.
