Get Berkshire Active: Falkland Cricket up for three awards

Weekend Kick-Off

Available for over a year

Chairman John Bolan tells Tim Dellor about the club's work in the community. "We've got two people nominated, Neil Rider, for his development of girl's cricket for the club, and Nigel Trumper for introducing disability cricket to the club. "Two years ago Nigel came to me and said can we look at having disability cricket, we did a pilot, and last year we ran a full programme. "We introduced girls cricket last year, and Neil had 42 girls turn up for cricket for the first time at the club. The intention is to grow that."
