Available for over a year

More than six million in the UK suffer tinnitus – often described as “ringing in the ears.” But 5 live Investigates has been told that many are unhappy with the treatment they get from their GP. The British Tinnitus Association surveyed nearly a thousand patients with 92 per cent saying they felt their doctor was dismissive, unsympathetic or simply didn't have enough knowledge of the condition. Isobel Anderson is a musician who lives in Belfast and has suffered from tinnitus for the last five years. She told Adrian Goldberg what it was like living with the condition. This clip is originally take from 5 live Investigates on 5 February 2017.
