In Labour's northern heartlands

Westminster Hour

Available for over a year

Labour faces two challenges this week with by-elections in safe seats Copeland and Stoke-on-Trent in the North of England. However, party leader Jeremy Corbyn's personal ratings are suffering in the polls, and the EU referendum highlighted divisions between Labour supporters from different backgrounds and in different parts of the country. Gary Connor traveled to Labour stronghold and current UK City of Culture Hull, where he tested the political mood and asked traditional Labour voters if the party could overcome these divisions.
