Camera to your heart...

Andrew Peach

Available for over a year

A new piece of technology is making its way into Broadmoor Hospital, which allows people to recognise when a patient is having heart problems - just using a simple-looking camera. Oxford-based Oxehealth created the camera, and the CEO is Hugh Lloyd-Jukes said: "With a camera, whilst you wouldn't need it running all the time, a nurse or doctor monitoring the system could be alerted to something that might make them uneasy. "They can turn the video on, check what's happening then decide what to do. "This is around any situation in healthcare where you have a poorly or vulnerable person in a room where you want to be alerted to challenges to their health or their safety."
