Artist hints to whereabouts of last £5 note worth £50,000

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Only one £5 note (of four) engraved with a tiny portrait of Jane Austen by micro-artist Graham Short remains in circulation. Three of the notes, estimated to be worth around £50,000, have been discovered in Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland - with the fourth put into circulation somewhere in England. The artist told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 live: "I spent that in a pie shop. I bought a pork pie in Melton Mowbray." although it's exact location remains a mystery. "I don't know where it will turn up; I don't know how far these notes travel." The serial number of the remaining note is AM32885554 This clip is originally from Phil Williams on Monday 20 February 2017
