Carers: Sue's story

Woman's Hour

Available for over a year

If your mother had dementia and needed round the clock care, would you put her in a care home or look after her yourself? 47-year old Sue has chosen the latter. For the last six years she has cared for her 88-year-old mother Patricia at home, giving one to one care 24/7. She is supported by private and publically funded carers, but the emotional cost of caring is taking its toll. Reporter Ena Miller spent time with both women.
