“It’s all gone Pete Tong” – the only way to describe what happened when the wrong winner was announced for Oscars Best Picture. Incredibly, DJ Pete Tong was the first person 5 live’s Colin Paterson bumped into on the red carpet after the ceremony. Describing how it all went so wrong, he told Colin: “Warren got the wrong envelope by the looks of it. I’ve never seen anything like it – it all went Pete Tong!” Back in the studio, Nicky Campbell shared the pair’s disbelief: “This is getting even more surreal.
