Iranian director Asghar Farhadi's The Salesman won the Oscar for best foreign film. He boycotted the ceremony in protest at President Trump's travel ban which included Iran, but Farhadi asked Iranian entrepreneur and space explorer Anousheh Ansari to accept the award on his behalf and to deliver a statement questioning the policy.
