The man who helps people to overcome their creepy crawly phobias

The Debbie McGee Show

Available for over a year

Debbie McGee met Owen Mayes, whose exotic set of animals both scare and amaze. Owen told Debbie how he helped an infantryman with tours of Iraq and Afghanistan under his belt to overcome his fear of tarantulas. "He came in and was standing within a couple of metres of whichever tarantula we had, I think we had Fluffy and Incy Wincy. "By the middle of the...afternoon, he was holding Incy Wincy, and his hands were shaking. This is a big, tough guy. "His hands were shaking, there were tears rolling down his cheeks. In fact it was quite moving watching this. "This was a guy really working at conquering his fear."
