Conservative MP Kit Malthouse says the Chancellor may announce another review of business rates in the forthcoming Budget. With a number of MPs having concerns over the new revaluation of business rates, Mr Malthouse, a member of the Treasury Select Committee, suggested that Chancellor Philip Hammond "may will kick off another review." Mr Malthouse revealed that ministers "recognise that there are issues with the transition on the change in business rates revaluation", and wondered whether the Chancellor might set out a review into "the nature of how we tax business."
