Yellowhammer

Dawn Chorus

Available for over a year

The Yellowhammer is one of the few birds to have had its verse transcribed into words and it’s often recorded as: ‘little bit of bread and no cheese’! They are the closest looking bird we have to a canary with the male’s brilliant yellow head and the female’s softer green one, and in flight they both show their white outer tail feathers and chestnut rump.
