Blondie's new 11th studio album 'Pollinator' is our album of the day today here on 6 Music. This is an album we've been talking about a lot. For for the first time alongside Blondie core member guitarist Chris Stein, singer Debbie Harry and drummer Clem Burk they've enlisted a whole load of people helping them with songwriting - Dave Sitek from TV on the radio, Johnny Marr, Sia, Nick Valensi from The Strokes Dev Hynes, and Joan Jett and Laurie Anderson. And it's a really interesting record - essentially classic Blondie but with new elements brought into the mix - Matt Everitt sat down with Debbie and Chris to talk about 'Pollinator' those elements, Nick Valensi, Johnny Marr, and the idea of Debbie finally writing her autobiography....
