5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Prime Minister Theresa May is "stronger", despite the Conservatives losing 13 seats in the snap general election - according to Tory MP Bernard Jenkin. Labour made significant gains, picking up an additional 30 seats - including Kensington and Chelsea. Speaking to Stephen Nolan, Bernard Jenkin said "She is stronger because she got more votes than David Cameron. "Stronger because she got 60 more seats than Jeremy Corbyn's party. And stronger because the policies she set out for Brexit have endorsed by the electorate."
