Her non-fiction also includes Cairo: A City Transformed, a passionate and gripping account of the Egyptian Revolution of 2011, which she experienced first-hand. In 1999 Adhaf Soueif became the first Muslim woman to be nominated for the Booker Prize for her novel The Map of Love.
