'Let’s get the independent review bodies to report, and then take action.'

Westminster Hour

Available for over a year

Independent pay review findings "are going to be critical". Solicitor General and Conservative MP Robert Buckland has said that the Government will be "looking very seriously" at the findings of independent pay review bodies amid the ongoing debate around the public sector pay cap, adding that he is sure that the Government "will be minded to follow what the review bodies will be saying." Speaking to the Westminster Hour, Mr Buckland said that "this week’s gimmick, frankly, on the Queen’s speech was political tribalism, if you like, of the worst kind", concluding "Let’s get the independent review bodies to report, and then take action."
