MIF17 saw the premiere of Last and First Men, a new multimedia work by Icelandic composer J贸hann J贸hannsson. Last and First Men combines music, film and elegiac narration into a poetic meditation on memory, loss and the idea of Utopia. For this world exclusive, the 蜜芽传媒 Philharmonic performed J贸hannsson鈥檚 score live with the film at The Bridgewater Hall. Based on the cult novel by British science fiction writer Olaf Stapledon, Last and First Men blurs the boundary between fiction and documentary.
