Recruitment experts have long warned us to be careful about what we post on social media in case it may deter employers. However in future any embarrassing posts, on sites like Facebook or Instagram, may soon be off limits to companies that want to check the background of job applicants, because the European Union is considering restricting firms to only checking what is relevant to the role of the job.
