They are known as Noses. They generate millions of dollars for their companies. Yet until recently, they've been largely anonymous. I'm talking about perfumers, a select band of experts who brew up scents, and profits, for perfume houses large and small. And in the 21st century, the whiffs they brew are taking on a whole new character. Think of the smell of blood, of ink, of concrete - and even of sweat!
