Why we're not drinking orange juice anymore

Radio 4 in Four

Available for over a year

Retail experts say sales of orange juice have declined because of concerns about its high sugar content. Oranges traded on the commodities market dropped in value by a third – that’s the biggest decline of any agricultural product. In the U.K. we’re turning more towards smoothies and flavoured water instead of orange juice. Ashley Anzie, a retail expert at Kantar Worldpanel, talks to Melanie Abbott about why this is happening. First broadcast on You & Yours, 21 August 2017.
