Claire was the first headteacher in the country to go through gender transition whilst still in post. She began her transition two years ago whilst teaching at a school in Bransholme, Hull but has since given up her teaching career to raise awareness of gender dysphoria – the feeling of being in the wrong body. Her former colleague and now partner Catherine has supported Claire throughout her transition and together they recently took part in their first Pride march. Produced by Clare Crooks
