According to the Bridge charity which helps homeless people in Leicester, the number of people on the streets in the city has gone up by a startling 227 per cent between 2013 and 2016. Yesterday they officially opened the doors for their new facility in the city, on Melton Street.It's cost £70,000 to transform a former hosiery factory into a centre offering over 10,000 meals a year and other support services to homeless and vulnerable people..
