Susan and Naomi: 'You stopped speaking'

The Listening Project

Available for over a year

When Susan's marriage broke down she moved from Italy back to her hometown of Doncaster, along with her daughters Naomi and Rebecca. After some time in a hostel for homeless families, they got their own flat close to Naomi's new school. So close in fact, that Susan could actually see Naomi in the playground from the flat. For Naomi however, the move to a new country and school was a huge culture shock and for a while, she stopped speaking.
