Christopher and Annabelle have been together thirty years, meeting in Annabelle's native Singapore when she was visiting home and Christopher was living there on a journalism posting.They have two children. In the Autumn of 2015 Annabelle was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumour. At stage 4, the tumour is terminal and at the point of diagnosis it was thought Annabelle had only weeks to live. The cycle of treatment began, of which Annabelle can remember very little. It left her with some side effects, however when the conversation was recorded Annabelle was in a well period and undergoing no treatment. During their conversation, the couple discuss the day of the diagnosis, Annabelle's treatment, their life together and thoughts for the future. In September 2017, after a year of relatively good health, Annabelle is undergoing treatment for another brain tumour.
