Mayella was abused by her father until the age of 12, and always felt she had to try to protect her sister and her mother. Her parents are both now dead.It took 20 years before she started 'dealing' with it and worked to get past her past. She now works as a personal coach and healer and discusses her experiences in her work. She calls her friend Naomi her rock, especially after having few friends as a child. They discuss her childhood, the ways she helped herself to recover and the positive outcomes of that. They also discuss the day she met her father again.
