Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was condemned by many fans, as well as officials, sponsors and the media after he said it was "funny to hear a female" talk about football. It happened during a news conference when questioned by reporter Jourdan Rodrigue. Newton later issued a public apology, saying his actions were "extremely unacceptable". He added: "Don't be like me. Be better than me." So what's the situation for woman and the NFL?
