"Why shouldn't we be able to dream ...?" - Yeovil Town Ladies start a crowd-funding campaign to preserve their top-tier status

Jack Murley

Available for over a year

'We've come too far to stop now ...' That was the message from the board at Yeovil Town Ladies Football Club, as it held a special Fan Forum to discuss the FA's controversial restructuring of the women's game. The changes - which come into force next season - mean only fully-professional teams would be allowed to play at the highest level. And for Yeovil to even be considered, they'd have to raise more than 350-thousand pounds by November's application deadline. (We have repeatedly asked to speak to the FA about this restructuring and what it means to Yeovil Town Ladies specifically - and at the moment, no-one is willing to speak to us. But obviously, we will keep asking - and we'll keep you up to date with how we get on.)
