All aboard India's Deccan Queen

The Fifth Floor

Available for over a year

The Deccan Queen train line pre-dates the modern state of India. It snakes down from Pune in the hills to Mumbai on the coast. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Marathi's Mayuresh Konnur has travelled the route many times, through jungle and clouds, and is a bit of a fan of the train’s unique dining car, which still serves the original British menu of omelettes, cutlets and baked beans.
