Olivia Coleman will replace Claire Foy to play Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown. Foy, who played the Queen in the first two series and won a Golden Globe for the part, has been judged too youthful to take the role into the 1960s. Marion Bailey played the Queen in Handbagged, a play about the relationship between the monarch and Margaret Thatcher. She told the World at One about the challenge of taking on the role.
