ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Minute: On celebrating my vitiligo

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Minute

Available for over a year

Vitiligo is a long-term condition where pale white patches develop on the skin or hair. These areas lose pigment, when the cells that produce melanin disappear. It affects around 1% of the world's population. Famous model Winnie Harlow has it, as did Michael Jackson. Experts are still not exactly sure what causes it, although some suspect it is an autoimmune disorder. British salesman turned model, Bashir Aziz was born with vitiligo. He tells us how he learnt to love the way he looks. (Photo: Bashir Aziz on a shoot, Credit: Sophie Bauckham/ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½)
