Contemporary classical composer Laurence Crane talks to Hear & Now about his use of E-bows in his music. Traditionally used on electric guitars to create a sound reminiscent of using a bow on the strings, Laurence instead uses E-bows in his compositions on pianos, harps and other instruments to create beautiful, haunting drone sounds.
