Saudi Arabia looks to boost tourism

World Business Report

Available for over a year

If you were asked how Saudi Arabia made its money, it wouldn't be long before you mentioned the word "oil". However, lower energy prices in recent years have blown a huge hole in the kingdom's budget. So, it's keen to broaden the economy. And boosting tourism is seen as one way to do that. Now, the government says it will introduce tourist visas, to make it easier for foreign travellers to visit. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Mike Johnson asked the British travel journalist Simon Calder what Saudi Arabia had to offer. (Picture: Paul J Richards/ AFP/ Getty Images)
